Sotiropoulou Penelope

Penelope Sotiropoulou is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public and Community Health  – Unit of Community Health at the School of Public Health at the University of West Attica. She acquired her Master’s degree at the Democritus University of Thrace in Health and Safety in the Workplace and continued her studies with a Ph.D. at the University of Thessaly, Department of Internal Medicine in measuring the responsiveness of the emerging problem of tuberculosis, the therapy compliance, with emphasis on population characteristics in Greece -the host country for vulnerable populations-. 

She has conducted a significant amount of research and has written many scientific articles in the fields of Primary Health Care – community health, fertility, needs assessment, tuberculosis with emphasis on patient compliance and vulnerable populations that have been published in both Greek and international scientific journals as well as in conference proceedings. She has also written chapters in scientific books, she has won awards in congresses, has participated in funded research projects and has been Departmental Coordinator in the ERASMUS+ program.
