LEARNING RESULTS

The course provides a core of knowledge in the context of Public Health as addressed by the World Health Organization and other international organizations. Their Purpose does not provide knowledge about the principles and practical applications of public health in a broader field of global health issues.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • to know the basic principles and concepts of global public health
  • to be aware of contemporary global health problems and epidemiological trends worldwide
  • understand global public health goals
  • to know the global basic policies
  • to know the methods of assessing and monitoring the health of populations and planning prevention strategies
  • have the skill to work interdisciplinary in the context of public health

International regulations
Evidence-based Public Health
Prevention strategies and policies
Epidemiological data and current trends
Primary, secondary and tertiary prevention
Management of major risk factors
Future challenges for global population health

 

 

STUDENT EVALUATION

Written/Oral final exam (100%) including:

Multiple choice questions
