MSc Program in “Health Promotion in Third Age “

The proposed Postgraduate Studies Programme (MSc) entitled “Health Promotion in Third Age “ provides specialized knowledge on the promotion of the health, wellbeing, autonomy, and dignity of older people and the design and implementation of interventions aimed at achieving this goal.

The aim of the MSc is to provide high-quality postgraduate education to equip students with knowledge of current developments in the interdisciplinary approach to health promotion for older people and the development of intersectoral policies and actions.

Upon successful completion of the Master’s degree, students will be able to design and develop policies that will contribute to:

  •         Supporting older people to remain independent and active.
  •         Promoting health and preventing diseases in old age.
  •         Improving the quality of life of older people.

 

In addition, graduates will be able to design and develop policies that will contribute to:

  •         Providing academic knowledge in the field of health promotion in old age and further developing students’ knowledge capital.
  •         Conducting research studies in the subject area and promoting the introduction of innovative epidemiological research projects.
  •         Highlighting the morbidity and complexity of healthcare in third age.
  •         Promoting applied health promotion programs in third age.
