LEARNING RESULTS

Upon completion of the course students will be able to:

  • analyze the household/domestic factors that adversely affect the health of residents
  • prepare detailed reports on the criteria for house hygiene, which have a serious social, economic, and psychological impact on residents health
  • participate in Public Health Programs and contribute to the elimination of pathogenic household/domestic factors and of social inequalities in housing
  • acquire the necessary knowledge to identify and evaluate the needs of the residents of a house, according to their number, living in it, the special needs of those living in unhealthy conditions and take the appropriate action by preparing reports / instructions to overcome adverse conditions

  • Hygienic Housing – Evolution over time
  • Stadium / plot, location, orientation of a large building. Non Buildable Area (Yard)
  • Home Layout – Living Space (Bedrooms for Adults-Children, the Elderly, People with Disabilities), Reception Area, Dining Room, Office, Kitchen, Bathrooms, Storage, Stairs, Balconies, Parking Spaces.
  • Hygienic way of watering the house
  • Sewer of the house
  • Hygienic way of ventilation of the houseHygienic way of lighting the house – light quotient, intensity, color, light source, light pollution
  • Hygienic way of heating, cooling, sound insulation (Heating and cooling media)
  • Bedroom Hygiene (Adults-Children-Elderly-People with Special Needs)
  • Hygiene of the reception area
  • Kitchen Hygiene
  • Office Hygiene
  • Warehouse Hygiene
  • Bathrooms – Toilet bowl, Bathroom sink, Bathtub, Shower-, Kitchen sink
  • Color Hygiene
  • Stairwells
  • Balconies (Closed-Open)
  • Parking spaces (Open-Closed)
  • Fire stations
  • Equipment, Furniture, Beds, Lighting Fixtures, Tables, Wardrobes, Carpets, Sheets, Pillows, Blankets, Domestic Pharmacy
  • Unhealthy house (sick house). Materials – Plants – Animals – Birds – Insects – Ectoparasites.

 

STUDENT EVALUATION

  • Writing  Final Examination (100%) which includes:
