LEARNING OUTCOME
The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the subject of sustainable industrial development and health management and disposal of various categories of industrial waste, focusing on the application of pollution prevention and control techniques. The main goal is the protection of the Environment and Public Health from industrial development.
The teaching of the course is expected to have the following results:
- To enable the graduates to contribute to the planning, the supervision of the correct operation and mainly the control of the studies of specialized industrial waste treatment systems, in order to observe the standards of Environmental protection and to protect Public Health.
- To provide graduates with the knowledge necessary to exercise the statutory professional rights in the field of industrial waste and to contribute to the proper implementation of the relevant Health and Environmental Legislation.
GENERAL SKILLS
- Project design and management of industrial waste treatment and disposal projects
- Decision-making in licensing procedure for industrial waste treatment and disposal
- Respect for the natural environment through sustainable industrial development and recycling-reuse of industrial waste and materials
- Search, analysis and synthesis of data and information, using the necessary technologies in matters of health protection from industrial pollution.

STUDENT EVALUATION
Evaluation in Greek language
The written final exam includes Multiple-choice questions, Short Answer questions and Development questions
Students, when given the topics, are informed about how to evaluate each group of topics, depending on their degree of difficulty. For the evaluation of students, fullness of answer, clarity, the degree of critical thinking of the student and language proficiency are taken into consideration.
