LEARNING RESULTS

The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the basic concepts, necessary theoretical principles and practical applications of the use of social resources and human resource development, as well as the social economy with the aim of community development. Also to familiarize themselves with the modern social and economic reality, social creativity and innovation. To acquire knowledge on the coordination, management and implementation of interventions related to the development of the human resources of the community for the promotion of health. The subject of the course aims to understand social economy actions aimed at promoting health, quality of life and decent living of the population, the development of human capital, the reduction of social exclusion of vulnerable – special population groups and inequalities, creating conditions for local communities with high indicators of social cohesion and sustainable community development.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • understand the basic concepts and principles of using social resources and human resources
  • aware of the various contemporary approaches to community development
  • understand the concept of development in the social economy
  • understand the actions of the social economy to improve health and fight health inequalities, to develop the community, to improve access and efficiency of the health services provided
  • understand the collective purpose as the promotion of collective actions and the protection of collective assets through development, economic and social initiatives of a local, regional or wider nature
  • understand integration as a process of social integration of people who belong to the vulnerable groups of the population
  • recognize vulnerable social groups in need of support
  • knows the tools and techniques of learning new skills, in order to develop human capital and the community
  • realizes the coordination of community development interventions through human capital development (such as ‘Human Resource Development’, ‘Education & Lifelong Learning’, ‘Administrative Reform’ and ‘National Contingency Reserve’)
  • knows about the coordination, management and implementation of interventions related to the development of human resources with the aim of developing the community to promote the health of the population.
