LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to introduce students to the basics of digital health and its developments. It analyzes the contribution of new health technologies to individuals and how digital health can improve the provided health services as well as promote the health of the community. The course material aims to provide students with knowledge about the development of e-health services by providing examples and applications both in Greece and internationally. The course gives students the opportunity to discover the use of new information and communication technologies, such as the internet and mobile phones, to promote health and provide health services.

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

  • know the basic features of digital health
  • understand the opportunities and challenges of digital health.
  • know the different applications of digital health, as well as identify the factors and obstacles to these applications
  • knows the conditions for the development of e-health services and their content
  • participate in the design, development and implementation of digital health services
  • current trends, examples and applications
