LEARNING RESULTS
The course has a special infrastructure and is the main introductory course in the study of General Pharmacology. The course material aims at the acquisition of knowledge about the General Principles of Pharmacology, data on Pharmacodynamics – Pharmacokinetics, prescription and study of special pharmacology so that the student aquires information about the classification of specific drugs categories such as analgesics – anti-inflammatory, antidiabetics, serums – vaccines, immunoglobulins, chemotherapeutics, antineoplastic etc.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to understand:
- The mechanisms of drugs action
- Their interactions with the biological substrate
- Their applications in prevention and treatment
GENERAL SKILLS
- Search, analyze and synthesize data and information, using both
- Necessary technologies
- Adaptation to new situations
- Decision making
- Teamwork
- Work in an interdisciplinary environment
