LEARNING OUTCOME
The aim of the course is to make students aware of the categories, properties, threats to public health and human consequences of hazardous and toxic waste and materials, as well as their basic treatment methods.
After the successful completion of the course the students will be able:
- To know the main categories of hazardous and toxic waste, the routes of exposure of the human body and their properties regarding their effects on human health and the environment
- To propose and evaluate technologies for processing these materials, as well as their management methods.
GENERAL SKILLS
- Project design and management of toxic and hazardous waste treatment and disposal projects
- Respect for the natural environment through the proper management of toxic and hazardous waste
- Search, analysis and data and information synthesis, using the appropriate technologies in matters of health protection from toxic and hazardous waste.

STDENT EVALUATION
Evaluation in Greek language
The written final exam includes Multiple-choice questions, Short Answer questions and Development questions
Students, when given the topics, are informed about how to evaluate each group of topics, depending on their degree of difficulty. For the evaluation of students, fullness of answer, clarity, the degree of critical thinking of the student and language proficiency are taken into consideration.
