Georgia Maria Markopoulou is a lecturer at the Department of Public and Community Health, School of Public Health, University of West Attica. She is a graduate of the Department of Health Visitors of the TEI of Athens (2000). She has a master’s degree in Applied Public Health – Direction I “PUBLIC HEALTH OPERATORS” of the National School of Public Health (2008). She is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Public Health of the University of West Attica, researching the correlation of the quality of life of the elderly with the “Frailty Syndrome”.
Her research interests are related to the prevention and promotion of the health of the elderly, the prevention of chronic diseases, and public health.
Her research work, with publications in reputable national journals as well as numerous announcements/lectures at national conferences (oral and posted announcements), includes the field of Health Education and Promotion in general.
She is a member of the Internship Committee and the Courses Exemption Committee from other academic institutions, but also of other committees both at the Department level and at the School level.
