The selection process of students’ internships through NSRF

Every academic semester and one month before the start of the internship, the provisions for the internship through the NSRF are published on the Department’s website: the invitation, the inclusion criteria, the evaluation process, the process of posting the results and the appeals procedure. Responsible for the posting of all the procedures that apply to the internship through NSRP, is the respective responsible professor, as defined by the Assembly and announced on the website.

Every semester, the invitation is published with the available internship positions through NSRF. Afterwards, the students’ applications are submitted on a specific date. The Student Evaluation Committee meets and posts the provisional results on the website, giving a deadline of five (5) days for the submission of objections.

After the completion of the objections process, the Evaluation Committee meets again and posts the results and the evaluation report, in order to all interested parties be informed.

The internship was included in the Study Program by decision of the Department Assembly. According to the approved Curriculum, the duration of the internship is four (4) months and is a compulsory course of the 8th semester of studies for the direction of Public Health. For the direction of Community Health, the duration of the internship is three (3) months, and it is an optional compulsory course of the 8th semester of studies.

Students who choose the internship must be enrolled in the 7th semester. Then, they declare their interest and the Committee selects the students who have accumulated the highest-grade point average and the greater number of courses.
