Internship outside the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF)

When is it conducted?

The Internship takes place in the spring semester of the 4th year (8th semester).  After completing four years of study, students can take it in every subsequent semester (winter or spring).

Which students are eligible to do an Internship outside the NSRF?

All students who do not wish to implement an Internship through NSRF, can intern at a domestic Institution, which will take over their payment and insurance coverage.

Alternatively, those students who only wish to study abroad can do an Internship through the Erasmus+ program.

Search for Internships

The Academic Supervisor of the Department’s Internship directs the students in the search for an institution. A list of the proposed institutions can also be posted on the Department’s website. Students are encouraged to find Internship Institutions on their own, inside and outside of Attica.

It is required that the Institution is registered on the ATLAS website.

Selection of Internship Institution by students

The Institutions must be approved by the Academic Supervisor of the Internship. The Academic Supervisor of the Department undertakes to notify the Department Assembly of the students’ names who will be trained outside the NSRF.

Necessary documents for the start of the Internship

  • Certificate of acceptance from the Internship Host.
  • Internship contract outside the NSRF.

Procedure:

  • The contract is initially signed by the student in three (3) copies.
  • Then, it is signed and sealed by the Institution in three (3) copies and finally signed by the President of the Department and sealed by the Secretariat.

Grading of the Internship

The scoring and the final total grading of the student result from the decisions of the Department Assembly and are specified by the Department’s Internal Operating Regulations.
